Practically perfect in every way...

Alex's Year 6 play was Mary Poppins - they did a dress rehearsal and three performances this week - these photos are from the dress rehearsal and the final performance. I took loads more, but am trying to minimise the amount I show other people's kids on my blog.  Alex, as you may guess from this photo, had the part of Mr Banks, and had 72 lines to learn (or something like that - second only to Mary Poppins) as well as a solo song, "How Lordly is the Life I Lead", which he's shown here, singing....  And now, a photostorm!

In which we meet Mr and Mrs Banks

In which Mr Banks is firm.

In which Mr Banks prepares to interview nannies.

In which Mr Banks first makes the acquaintance of one Mary Poppins, Nanny.

In which a character looking suspiciously like Mr Banks, but in fact, just being a passer-by, consults with a penguin about a most peculiar word.

In which Mr Dawes informs Mr Banks in no uncertain terms that his services are no longer required at the bank.

In which Mr Banks's hat is thoroughly destroyed.

In which we hear of a man with a wooden leg called Smith (what's the name of his other leg?)

In which Mr Banks proposes that a kite is flown.

In which we sing of flying kites.

In which curtain calls are taken.

In which a reprise of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is sung.
