This is the recipe from the Hairy Dieters cookbook which I tried before - we found the meatballs a little dry last time and someone recommended adding finely chopped mushrooms to them - brilliant. I will always do this now, I think - you can't tell there are there (not a problem for me, but for my mushroom fussy kids (1 extremely so, 1 a little so, 1 likes them) it ws just fine) and they do help keep the meatballs lovely and moist. Woohoo.
