A rather grandiose name, for a smallish, low-key amusement park which we went to today. We had a lot of fun, though - and we also had really good groupons, so we didn't pay much for our 3 hour wristbands. We went on a rollercoaster (some of us more than once),
drove some go-karts
and rode the Scrambler (which was actually pretty slow - I could have handled the spin on this one). None of us, kids or adults, rode the Tilt-a-Whirl - too spinny for all of us.
The kids all went on the high-ropes course, even those of them who found it a bit daunting,
...and they all climbed the climbing wall, at least partway. (You may notice an "extra" child in these photos - we went with friends - Olivia's friend Katy, who is the daughter of a school friend of mine is the spare kid!)
The kids went on the bumper cars, while we watched - and we all played laser tag together (no photos of that).
We did a few arcade games - the kids did one of those dance machines, and I played some skeeball for old times' sake.
Olivia and Katy rode on the Merry-go-Round while we were waiting for Alex to finish on the bumper boats, where he got soaked (though he presumably did his share of soaking others - I hope so, anyway).
Finally, we finished up with some mini golf - amazingly, I won, coming in 4 under par - our scores actually went in reverse age order - the older you were, the lower your score. Oh well, I guess there have to be some payoffs for all those years of mini-golfing!
(No one actually got their ball in the water hazard, they just spent a lot of time splashing each other from it...)
