This was very tasty, and the bottom of the cobbler wasn't soggy at all (the main issue with cobbler/dumpling type dishes) - probably because the filling wasn't too liquidy. I was thinking that this would also work well as a vegetarian dish with some mushrooms in place of the sausage - there were only 4 sausages in the whole dish (the meat thereof, that is, out of the skins) so the meat doesn't give a lot of bulk.
