Of course, we had to move most of the furniture out of the room we are redoing (luckily, we can leave a bit in there, like the dining room table for most of the time, though when we do the floor, we will have to move it out) - this tall bookcase went into the living room, along with some plastic drawers (the unit will probably go, once we have fitted drawers in the other room)
and some of the cookbooks, etc that were in that room (on the bottom shelf here). The baskets which normally live on the bottom shelf are full of things which are normally in the dining room
while more of the cookbooks are in the bedroom (the boxes on the floor - plus some you can't see on the other side of the room). The books on the windowsill don't normally live there either...
Most of the bookcases have gone into Alex's room (the one against the wall lives there normally, but the others don't)
nor do these two, which are in a cupboard, along with a small chest of drawers which was in the family room.
And most of the books are in Alex's room - there are about 10 bags in this space - maybe a dozen
and more in the wardrobe. As well as a few bags in Geoff's closet, and some in the girls' room. Most, however, are pretty much out of the way, which is impressive, given how many books we have. Even if we did manage to give about 20 carrier bags of them to the charity shops!
