Book 18: The Left Hand of Darkness, Ursula K LeGuin

I picked this up a while back, shortly after LeGuin's death, from a display in Waterstones; I thought it sounded interesting and I'd never read any of her stuff except some of the Earthsea books. I really struggled to get into this - I found it almost anthropological in tone, and while it was an interesting premise, it also seemed quite old fashioned in some ways. Verdict: Still really not sure, but I bet it's a great prompt for discussions about gender.
