After a few days of being out at dinner (or eating leftovers after a lunch out, as last night), we had dinner in again tonight - as we will only be here about 10 more days, I am trying to use stuff up and make simple meals. Tonight I used some of the macaroni in my mother's cupboard, with some little potatoes and small green beans, plus a jar of pesto, to create a kind of Genovese dish. It was fine, though the pesto was a little bland (I don't really know the American brands, so it's hard to judge).
