Dinner, 25/5/13: Bacon and Asparagus Flan


Another Hairy Dieters recipe - the flan uses filo pastry rather that shortcrust, so it's a much lighter pastry crust. And only a sprinkling of cheese on the top. I changed the recipe a tiny bit - used 4 eggs instead of three so we'd have a bit left over and there's probably  more cheese on top than in the recipe, but I had some grated cheese in the freezer I wanted to use up...  Served with a salad and some bread. Very nice!  The recipe is online on the Good Food website... (oh, and I used a larger tin than specified as I didn't think the ingredients would all fit in the size they suggested!
