I am slowly re-reading through this series; this is the second one. However, I don't remember it at all, so I think I might have missed it the first time around. So it was a nice surprise. It's fun to re-read these after having actually been to Venice; I can imagine them walking around doing stuff, though I haven't been to all the locations, of course.
