Geoff's brother and his wife came down from Leicester for a visit Wednesday and Thursday - we ate out on Wednesday night, but before they left to drive back home on Thursday, we had lunch at the house - I made a minestrone soup and we had various breads, crackers, cheese, meats, etc. It was a nice meal, and big enough that we didn't cook a proper dinner, just grazing on various leftovers in the house (it's still that post-Christmas food glut period, after all).
