Today's work involved lots of floor stuff - removing the old nasty black and yellow carpet and some of the parquet immediately around it
and removing the little cap where the gas was capped off (there used to be a gas fire in this room) - and capping the gas elsewhere, closer to where it comes into the house - the new floorboard is where that work was done...
Our builder also spent lots of time sanding in the doorway (the one where we are taking the door off) - the photo doesn't show much, but it is lovely and smooth.
