Today's work seems to have involved mainly undoing things - taking down an odd panel in the dining room to see what was behind it (and how to finish it off better this time),
removing paper from the ceiling in the dining room
and trying to decide whether it will be necessary to take down the ceiling to make it fit sensibly with the walls and other ceiling, or whether the old one can be fitted in properly.
One thing that was added rather than taken away was a test surface for our work tables - just checking the height, etc. It's not fitted in yet, just resting on battens so the height can be tested out. And the finished ones (one on either side of the fireplace) will be shaped as well, but that's all still to come.
