Book 41: Lord Peter Views the Body, Dorothy L Sayers (short stories)

Amusing, and nice to see some glimpses of Lord Peter that I wasn't familiar with. I don't like these nearly as much as the novels, though, and it's not just because I'm not as big a fan of stories as novels - there's something about the development of characters & plot that doesn't happen in short stories - and for a mystery/detective theme perhaps this is even more important. These feel as though they are more casual jottings than fully developed ideas (some of them).  But still quite entertaining. Makes me want to go try some Sherlock Holmes stories now and see whether they work as stories...

Have you tried 'Thrones, Dominations' which DLS started before her death, then her friend Jill Paton Walsh completed? An interesting development of the Wimsey/Vane characters.
