Had this one sitting around for a while and finally got to it. It was quite amusing, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd expected to - recently books I've read in a similar farcical vein (e.g. Cold Comfort Farm or Jennifer Johnson's These Foolish Mortals) have appealed more - perhaps because I didn't really warm to any of these characters in the same way.
